Chicago Cruises or Shoreline Sightseeing?

My husband and I want to take an afternoon architectural tour while we鈥檙e in town the first week of May. We%26#39;re trying to choose between two tour companies 鈥?Chicago Line Cruises and Shoreline Sightseeing. Any advice?

The best tours are through the Chicago Architectural Foundation. Their site is www.architecture.org. The docks are at the SE corner of Michigan and Wacker Drive.

I second the Architectural Foundation for architectural tours. Bear in mind that these tours are along the river and not the Lake Michigan shoreline. You%26#39;ll get some architecture info on some of the shoreline cruises, but not as much or as close up as the river cruise. However, the shoreline is stunning and I love being out on Lake Michigan. I think either choice is great, you%26#39;ll just need to decide if your focus is more on seeing/learning about the architecture, or seeing the shoreline.

Wendella does combined river and lake architectural tours.
