We will be in the city for 3 nights and I can%26#39;t decide where to stay at the James or Amalfi - we are coming in to celebrate our dd%26#39;s graduation from college.
Want something comfortable and a bit luxurious. which would you choose and why? I%26#39;ve read the reviews but still can%26#39;t decide please help me out here.
We aren%26#39;t ones to be out and night we tend to stay in - love good room service and great room to hang out in.
Help me decide Please James Hotel or Amalfi Hotel?
Amalfi. St James in just another reincarnation of an older hotel. Small rooms, small public spaces... I bet that once you get here you won%26#39;t stay in your room. Especially at either of these hotel locations.
Help me decide Please James Hotel or Amalfi Hotel?
It would be helpful if you could list a price range and the kinds of amenities that are important to you, e.g. a pool. Many of the more upscale hotels in Chicago do not have a pool.
Give us some more info and it%26#39;s likely the forum can help more....

I havent stayed at the James, but stayed for 3 nights at the Amalfi last year. Nice rooms, plenty of space, great location, good continental breakfast, excellent cocktail hour (anything you could want except decent sparkling wine). Very indifferent staff, but I tend to only speak to the staff during checkin, so this had no real impact on my stay. In general would stay again and would recommend the Amalfi.
have a good trip.
