I have heard that the Marriott is a little outdated and there are better hotels for the money in Chicago. I%26#39;m planning on staying at the Affinia and walking to the Marriott for a conference I will be attending there. I will be carrying books and confernce materials to and fro and was wondering if there is a hotel closer to the Marriott that is a little nicer, in the same price range. Any recommendations?

There are numerous choices within close distance, including a Marriott Courtyard. Go to hotels.com and type in the address of the Marriott Michigan Avenue and search by address. It will show you all hotels in nearby proximity as well as distance from Marriott.
