Hi Yeye,

I have lived in both the Bloomington and Chicagoland areas. In terms of tourist areas, Bloomington certainly has less to offer than Chicago.

Here are somethings you might try for Bloomington...

1. Drive historic Route 66 from Bloomington to Springfield to see the Lincoln Museum and State Capital.

2. The David Davis mansion is a restored victorian mansion. FYI...He was an Illinois Senator and Supreme Court Justice.

3. If you call the media relations department at Mitusbishi Motor Manufacturing, they might be able to give you a tour of the car factory in Normal.

4. Have a pizza a the Lucca Grill in Downtown Bloomington and then go bar hopping in downtown Bloomington.

5. Visit a real maple syrup farm in Funks Grove.

6. Meet-up with a State Farm employee so you can visit their park south of Bloomington. It is quite a site.

7. Visit an Illinois Farm. Toohillbeef dot com is usually grilling some beef for sale on the weekends. Note: This is a beef sale place, but I am sure if buy a couple things and ask, they might show you around the farm.

8. Have a Gondola sandwich at Avanti%26#39;s. It is a local favorite.

9. Enjoy a Hamburger at Steak and Sheak. The chain was founded in Bloomington.

10. Play a round of golf at one of the local courses. There are several challenging courses in the area.

What do you want to do? Are their any kids traveling with you?

thanks, brian Schoppe.

I want to make things passive. I don%26#39;t have children. I like to eat in good restaurants

thanks to all by its recommendations.

Good resturants in Bloomington are Biaggi%26#39;s for italian, CJ%26#39;s for local favorite%26#39;s, Lucca Grille for Pizza, Kep%26#39;s or Shannon%26#39;s 5 Star for breakfast. Enjoy your time here.
