Staying at Club Quarter Loop this weekend and I have tix to the Blackhawks game. I was going to take the #20 bus to and from? Good idea or not? Should I take a cab? How safe is the area? Thanks for responding!

bus is the best option, and as mentioned, it%26#39;ll be full of other fans! And on game nights they have an %26#39;United Center express bus%26#39; (#19) as well.
when I went to a game in dec, I actually took the El to the Medical Distric stop, and walked up. But bus drops you off right by the arena.
The area isn%26#39;t exactly interesting or full of life, but it doesn%26#39;t matter on a game night, cos it%26#39;ll be busy with fans.
Went to a Blackhawks game last year on a visit to Chicago, caught the special (No19) match day bus from the loop and had no problems. There is a line of buses waiting after the match to return everyone to the downtown area.
Think I caught the bus on Randolph Street in the Loop if my memory is correct but you can check on the CTA website for the route.
Taxis after the game can be difficult. Plan on taking the bus. There are also a couple of bars/restaurants that operate shuttles to/from the United Center, including Carmichael%26#39;s Steak House on Madison and West End Bar.
