Train to Lincoln Park Zoo

Can you take the NICTD train (or Shore Shore) to Lincoln Park Zoo? Where do you get off? How far is the walk?

Train to Lincoln Park Zoo

Take the South Shore all the way to Millennium Station. At the corner of Washington %26amp; Wabash catch a CTA #151 Sheridan bus. Get off at Stockton %26amp; Dickens.

No, you cannot take it all the way to the Lincoln Park Zoo. Its end terminus is at Millennium Station (intersection of Randolph %26amp; Michigan). The station is underground, and is partially underneath Millennium Park.

However, it is very easy to get to the LPZ after disembarking the South Shore. All you have to do is go up to street level and pick up the #151 NB CTA bus near the NE corner of that same intersection. There are a few exits in Millennium Station; however, not all of them are open on the weekend or at odd hours.

I%26#39;ll give you directions for one that is open all the time, though: You walk through the station to the Randolph Street exit. Most of the people on the train will probably be taking that same exit, BTW. Go up the flight of stairs. You will be facing west when you exit - towards the Chicago Cultural Center and State Street. You need around as soon as you exit the stairwell. Then you need to cross Randolph at that same intersection at the light (to go north). Then cross Michigan, going east, at the light. That bus stop immediately to your north is where you can pick up the #151.

In other words, the bus stop is kitty-korner to where the Millennium Station Randolph Street exit is.

When you are returning, the bus stop is just to the north of Randolph. You just have to cross to the SW corner and return in the same manner as you left the station.

Sorry, I didn%26#39;t see that Dave had answered as well.

Yes, you can pick up the #151 at Washington and Wabash, too, but you%26#39;ll be backtracking a bit.

Thank you for your help.
