Restuarant near Holiday Inn Merchandise Mart

Looking for a restuarant near the Holiday Inn Merchandise Mart. I would prefer within walking distance since we will not have our car. We arrive in the city this upcoming Friday, and while we already have plans for Saturday, we have nothing yet for Friday. Thanks!

What type of cuisine and what budget range?

Not really sure what type of cuisine, dont want to spend too much, we like all types of food, so anything good.

Please use the dining search tool at www.chicagoreader.com. Use River North as your search area. You can search by cuisine, budget etc. Without more specific information, it%26#39;s difficult for us to offer suggestions.

Metromix is another excellent source of information for dining options.

For example, if you type in ';Merchandise Mart'; into the search engine, then click on the hyperlink, you%26#39;ll see the little map where you can do a search for restaurants immediately surrounding your area. Then you only have to click on the name of the restaurant and it takes you to the page of that specific restaurant with the reviews. That first page also show you any special events happening in that area.

Since it sounds as if you are on a limited budget, you might be very interested in checking what specials there are to be had when you are here.

That being said, the Kinzie Chophouse is very close to the Merchandise Mart and they have bar menu specials late afternoons.

Also, you might be interested in the Mambo Grill on N. Clark, which isn%26#39;t too far away, if you were interested in Latin American cuisine. Mambo Grill has many specials as well. For others: Mambo Grill is closing at the end of this month and is planning on reopening on N. Wells later this summer.

Fun lunch spot nearby - http://www.perrysdeli.com/

Thanks everyone, its greatly appreciated

Kinzie Chophouse, Rumba, Coco Pazzo, Steve%26#39;s Deli. If it is nice you can walk over to several places on Hubbard

Province

Carnival

are all within walking distance if you exit the Holiday Inn onto Kinzie Street! They%26#39;re not as close as say Kinzie Chophouse, they%26#39;re a bit more of a walk, but both Province and Carnival I say are highly recommended. Also, you really wouldn%26#39;t be all that far from the fine restaurants of Randolph St.... Sepia, Blackbird...

We have decided to go to Weber Grill. I know its about 10 blocks away, but i could always use a good walk!

Ok, but there are so many other better choices that are only ';Chicago';
