Can I call for a mini van cab from Ogilvie?

We are 2 adults and 3 kids; 7, 8, 9 going to Chicago via train for the day. We will need transportation from Ogilvie to the Field Museum. Can I call for a mini van cab from the train station? Is this a good idea? will there be any van cabs waiting at the station? any suggestions? I%26#39;ve never used public transportation in the city.

There%26#39;s a cab stand at Ogilvie. Minivan cabs are a minority here. If you don%26#39;t see one in line, you should be able to flag one down within a reasonable amount of time.

There are taxi stands on Canal and on Clinton Streets on both sides of Ogilvie. However, I believe it could be easier to catch the Number 14 (Jeffrey Express) bus at Clinton %26amp; Madison St.

The cash fare is $2.25 for adults and $1 for the children. If you%26#39;ll be exploring other areas, you could purchase 1-day passes for the adults that allow unlimited rides for $5.75 each. They%26#39;re available at the CVS in Riverside Plaza. It%26#39;s connected to Ogilvie by skywalk.

Exit the bus at the last local stop at 11th and Columbus Drive, a block from the Field Museum, before it runs express down Lake Shore Drive.

If it%26#39;s 2 adults, 3 kids, and no luggage, you could probably get in any regular cab... and the fare would be competitive with 5 CTA fares.
