Hi,
Myself and my fella were hoping to attend the Cubs game against The Brewers on 2nd July but when we tried to purchase tickets online it appears that there are only single tickets available.
When we%26#39;ve visited other ballparks there have always been people selling tickets outside. Will this be the case at Wrigley Field and is this a reliable way to purchase tickets?
Thank you
Debs
Cubs tickets
There will be people selling tickets, but this will be a very tough ticket. The Brewers are a big rival and Milwaukee is only 90 miles away, so lots of Brewer fans will be looking for tickets as well. On the plus side, it%26#39;s not a Saturday. I would go up there take in the pre-game atmosphere and see if you can get lucky. If not, plenty of fun bars to get some food and watch the game at.
There are several ticket borkers along Clark and Addison and scalpers will out as well.
Cubs tickets
Yes. There will be tickets sold outside of the park. Reliable? Buyer beware.
There are legitimate online ticket brokers. Try - 鈥oldcoasttickets.com/MLB/Chicago-Cubs-Infor鈥?/a>
Buy now if you can. The prices will only go up as the weather gets warmer and the July 4th holiday will bring out fans that are willing to pay big bucks. Don%26#39;t wait and scalp - it is not worth it and the prices are very high.
If you are in the city on that day, try the box office as soon as it opens in the morning. Sometimes
the Cubs release tickets the morning of games that are sold out. Also, the Cubs run their own
broker service outside Wrigley. I have purchased
tickets for ';sold-out'; games several times directly from the Cubs at Wrigley. It can be a mattter of luck of the draw but worth a shot if you are going to be in the city.
You can get tickets for $40 on StubHub right now. This site is totally legitimate. If you want peace of mind, and don%26#39;t mind the price, this might be a good bet.

I agree with MSU....if you wait prices will go up. We have season tickets and people come out of the woodwork asking for tickets right before games.
These games will be packed and scalpers know they will get top dollar.
Thanks for all the advice.
We didn%26#39;t realise the demand would be so high already.
Stubhub appears to be the way to go.
Thanks again.
just to let people know that there are a few Cubs tickets on sale now for the %26#39;hard to get tickets to games%26#39; (such as these Brewers games, even opening day).
Just go through the official Cubs site.
Only singles though I think, but still!
I just got one for the July 4th game, so now I am going to 4 Cubs games the week I am there :-D
If you go to the Cubs web-site, www.cubs.com, they will also have a link where you can buy season ticket holders tickets for season ticket holders that are not using them. The prices vary, but the last two trips I made to Chicago I was able to get very good seats at very reaonable prices (compared to ticket outlets anyway). You might want to check that out.
I can still remember when I was a kid, I could go to the game and sit in the bleachers for 75 cents %26amp; there were plenty of empty seats.......those were the days!
