Dining Options Near Swissotel

I%26#39;m looking for some help finding restaurants within walking distance to the Swissotel. Please exclude fine dining (we will have a 5 yr old and a 3 yr old with us). I%26#39;d also like to know if one of those restaurants serves a good Italian Beef or Chicago Dog.

There is a food court at Navy Pier. Hot dogs, pizza, pretzels, they have everything you are looking for.

There%26#39;s Giordano%26#39;s on Lake St east of Michigan Ave, about three blocks SW of your hotel. They have stuffed pizza, pasta and sandwiches.

There%26#39;s also a food court on the second floor of Illinois Center (111 E Wacker). It catrers mostly to the office tennants, so most places are only open weekdays. There%26#39;s a Houlihan%26#39;s at street level that%26#39;s open more conventional restaurant hours.

For a quick snack, there%26#39;s a Corner Bakery on the SW corner of Wacker at Michigan and a Descartes Coffee on Michigan about 4 doors south of Wacker.

The Swissotel is connected to the 311 E. Wacker Bldg/Columbus Plaza/111 E. Wacker buliding complex and there are a lot of quick dining options, although it is strange that there are no good hot dog/beef options in those buildings.

The best option with the kids is a walk to the Ohio/LaSalle/Ontario area, which is about 3/4 mile away from the Swissotel. That area has a Portillo%26#39;s and Al%26#39;s for your beef/hot dog fix, as well as Gino%26#39;s East for Pizza, Ed Debevic%26#39;s for the hamburger, 50%26#39;s style (with a side of attitude, it I%26#39;ll keep the kids entertained).
