Advice on where to stay for 2 nights August

We are coming to Chicago for 2 nights in August %26amp; will be flying into Midway.

We%26#39;re looking for a hotel to sleep 4 of us(2 Adults, a Teen %26amp; a 4yr old).We want to see some of the City but also take the kids to Six flags %26amp; our teen would love to see a soccer game whilst we%26#39;re there(19th Aug Chicago fire v LA Galaxy)

Now, having looked on a map, all these seem a little far apart so can anyone recommend somewhere we can stay?

We%26#39;ll have a rental car!

Thanks

Sally

There are many hotel options downtown. Please read reviews in the Chicago Hotels section of this web site. Since there%26#39;s four in your group, you might want to consider the Embassy Suites. Keep in mind, hotel parking downtown hovers around $50/day. Some hotels offer parking+room deals. However, based on your itinerary, downtown is a central point.

I don%26#39;t know how you are going to go to Six flags, see a soccer game plus tour the city in two days. Something is going to have to give....but if you really want to go to Six Flags, you should stay up near the park the night before you go or just stay that evening that you go. It is far, probably over an hour%26#39;s drive. This link will get you to the hotels in the area of the park. sixflags.com/greatAmerica/鈥odging.aspx

These are all pretty far apart, I suppose you could maybe stay in the Rosemont/O%26#39;Hare area, you would have easy access to the Tri-State Tollway (I-294), and would be kind of halfway between Toyota Park and Six Flags, with the possibility of taking the train into the city for a day of sightseeing. You%26#39;re basically trying to hit three points of a large triangle.

Thanks for your replies, I know its a lot to fit in!

The soccer game is on the evening of the 19th at 8pm %26amp; that will only be my husband %26amp; eldest son going to that!

We will possibly visit Downtown on our arrival day 18th.

We are undecided on Six flags or not? Is it worth the trip?

Just trying to find things to keep everyone happy I guess!
