Hi there,
My wife and I will be in Chicago for four days starting May 19th. I came across this:
http://www.citypass.com/city/chicago.html
and I wanted to get your opinion, whether you would believe it is worth it.
Currently, my itinerary includes:
1. Sears Tower
2. John Hancock Observatory
3. Art Institute
4. Chicago Theatre
I realize that it is a personal preference whether to attend all the facilities on the Citypass, but I wanted to hear some pro%26#39;s and con%26#39;s on it, especially to those who have used it in the past.
Thanks,
Bobby
City PassYou don%26#39;t need to visit Sears and Hancock observatories. One or the other, not both. Are you seeing a show at the Chicago Theater?
Based on your initial itinerary, City Pass is not a good value. You need to add up the individual admissions and compare it to the cost of the pass. However, if you plan to visit several other attractions with the pass, it might be a good value.
City PassDid you read the link you posted? The City Pass is good at 5 attractions. Number five is listed as the Hancock OR the Sears - not both. None of the other attractions is on your list.
Our 2-adult/1-child family bought and used them for Museum of Science and Industry, Field Museum, and Shedd Aquarium. While it would%26#39;ve been nice to visit one or two more things, we didn%26#39;t want to push ourselves to stress during our 1.5 weekend days there and six-year-old%26#39;s travel tolerance.
The ability to by-pass the general admission ticket lines, particularly for Shedd Aquarium on a mid-afternoon Saturday, alone made it worth buying the CityPass.
