I booked a 650 square foot ';studio suite'; at the Affinia for $135 per night (special promo rate). I just saw that the Conrad Chicago is running a rate of $125 per night for a standard 350 square foot ';King Deluxe'; room or $150 for the same room with a ';city view';.
I%26#39;m leaning towards keeping my reservation at the Affinia, but would like a few opinions. Thanks!
Affinia ';studio suite'; or Conrad ';King Deluxe';?
I stayed at the Conrad when it was the Le Meridien and was unimpressed with the basic room other than the bathroom - the bathroom was phenomenal with a separate shower and huge soaking tub. But unless you spend that much time in the bathroom, I think I%26#39;d rather enjoy the extra living space at the Affinity.
Affinia ';studio suite'; or Conrad ';King Deluxe';?
I%26#39;ve stayed at both, although my Affinia stay was pre-renovation. The Conrad was wonderful, perhaps my favorite hotel experience. But I would stay with the Affinia for two reasons:
1. The newly renovated rooms have been very highly regarded on reviews here.
2. The extra space is nice to have.
Either way, though, you can%26#39;t lose.
