Our FIRST trip to Chicago...We%26#39;re coming to Chicago from July 9-13. Our son is doing an internship all summer and is staying at the Watertower campus of Loyola at Pearson and Wabash. Is there a moderately priced hotel that would be near him as well as other downtown attractions (Art Institute, etc.)? Thanks for your advice.
Best moderately priced downtown hotel?
As I mentioned in your other posting, ';moderate'; means different things to different people. If you can give a price range, you%26#39;ll get better answers.
Also, how many people are included in ';we'; and what sort of amenities do you want in your hotel? Do you want someplace that includes breakfast? A pool or activities for kids, etc.?
Best moderately priced downtown hotel?
Check out Hotel Seneca. Rates vary though, but for the location I think it%26#39;s reasonably fair. Good Luck.
Residence Inn on Walton is a couple blocks from the Loyola campus. It%26#39;s tidy and includes free breakfast. I don%26#39;t think you can really go wrong with a Marriott property and this one is in the middle of the north michigan ave shopping district, lots of restaurants, close to public transportation to musuems and plentiful cabs.
It%26#39;s a too little early to see hotel deals for July. Keep an eye on - http://hotels.travelzoo.com/chicago-hotels/
Hotwire is showing availability downtown for your dates for as low as $109/night.
