Just wondering if anyone has any news about the new Hotel Felix that will be opening on March 1st, 2009? I saw it on Expedia for $130 a night (double room) during March 7-10th, but when I book via the hotel鈥檚 website the cost is $200+ a night.
New Hotel Felix???
It looks as if it may be in the vein as Dana, Affinia, Avenue.
I talked with someone that works there and although they say March, and the websirte says March, I don%26#39;t think all services and ammenties will be ready at that time.
Good location, River North

New Hotel Felix???
The Hotel felix will start accepting guests as of March 1st, 2009. Rates are the same on both Expedia and the hotels website and the hotel has been offering a ';Introductory'; rate which is very competitive based on the location of the property and that it%26#39;s a new hotel. It is designed to be the first ';Leed'; certified hotel in downtown chicago for all those interested in ';green hotels';. Check out their website they have updated pics and information.
You should definately try them.......

Just noticed that Hotel Felix is offering free parking - for hybrid vehicles only! Have never seen that twist before; it might make a valuable difference to some visitors.
Several of the hotels that are trying to go green (darn those lights, too dim for my taste)offer free parking for hybrid vehicles
Has anyone stayed at this hotel yet? Their website looks awesome and their location seems ideal. According to their website, I can get a room during the middle of summer for $107/night (AAA rate). Almost seems too good to be true (maybe its because they charge $128/4 nights of parking). Any news on this place? It seems like a great find!
It does not open until March 1.
Haha, I guess since it hasn%26#39;t opened there won%26#39;t be any reviews! I am looking to stay the last week in June ...
I booked a room with them today on their website. I will be staying with them over the 4th of July/Tast of Chicago weekend, for 5 nights, and will definitely rate them on Tripadvisor upon my return.
For those of you that want to be bold and try them out this summer, here%26#39;s a tip: When booking, after you enter the dates of your stay, on the next screen in the top center, you have the option to select a special rate from the drop down menu. When you select %26#39;Advance Purchase%26#39;, the rate significantly drops. You will then be prompted to pay for your stay in full. I was able to score my room for $84 each night, which is a steal during The Taste of Chicago. I hope the hotel lives up to my fair expectations. If the internet service is not operable, I will be greatly disappointed. Wish me luck!
I%26#39;m really tampted with that advance rate, but of course, it means no cancellation, and them taking the whole amount now.
I too am there over part of Taste of Chicago (although going to that is a low priority), and July 4th, so I should sort out a room!
But I really want to stay in Lincoln Park. But of course, that limits me to just a few hotels, and the Days Inn%26#39;s rates are far to high to even consider, however much I love the place!
I too went ahead and booked a room for June 29th-July 3rd. Unfortunately I didn%26#39;t see the %26#39;advanced rate%26#39; which you were talking about but still only payed $107/night which is an awesome deal. I%26#39;m looking forward to it and hope that it is all the website makes it out to be!
