My husband and I will be driving from O%26#39;Hare to Indianapolis in mid June. I understand that this should be about a 3 hour drive. Are there any tourist type sites that would be along the way and could help break up the time?

Chicago to Indianapolis
I have made this drive at least 6 times/year for the last 20 years. It will take everything to go right and a lead foot to make it in 3 hours. More realistically 30-60 minutes more than that.
Also keep in mind they%26#39;re on Eastern time while Chicago is on Central time.
It%26#39;s probably referenced on the Purdue area site provided, but these two parks may be of interest:

And this is a greasy spoon diner that was recently shown on Food Network ';Diners, Drive-ins, %26amp; dives';:

You could always stop here and get a nice glass of milk and see some cows; believe me, you won%26#39;t miss the signs on the highway!

If you like chocolate, this place is right off the expressway in Lebanon, Indiana.

I would also recommend Fair Oaks Farms, exit 220 on I-65. You can get a bite to eat, ice cream, some cheese and crackers, or just hang out with the cows.
Thanks for all the great suggestions. It had never dawned on me that we would be driving into a different time zone. That tip, plus the fact that it%26#39;s probably going to take more than 3 hours may change our initial plans. Because of all the options, we%26#39;ll probably stop somewhere in the Lafayette area.
