dining options walkable from Affinia hotel

I%26#39;m looking for both fine and casual dining walking distance from the Affinia hotel. Love all types of food. Is it a safe neighborhood to walk around in at night?

The area around you hotel is safe in the evening. As in any other major city, common sense prevails.

Dozens of dining options nearby. There%26#39;s a great dining search tool at www.chicagoreader.com - read reviews and search by location, cuisine, budget etc. Use Mag Mile as your search area.

thanks Dave, I appreciate it.

I heartily endorse the West Egg Cafe, 620 N Fairbanks Ct, for Breakfast. The hotel is fine too for meals and is quite convenient. Next door is Gino%26#39;s East Pizza. If you go there, check with the consierge for a special pass if there happens to be a line. Once you start to branch out, there are soooo many options... I would say it is as safe as any area downtown. I also heartily recommend the Grand Lux cafe for lunch, entrance off Ontario west of Michigan. Get a window seat. That falls under casual dining. We like Giordano%26#39;s on Rush for stuffed pizza. Anyway, thats my two cents worth. Lots and lots of opinions on your question. By all means, mine is just one. I recommend use of the search box, and read many of the previous posts on restaurants. Also, if you have never been there before, check out the trip planner on the CTA website for public bus/ train use. It can be very convenient to use.

and your concierge in addition to the Gino%26#39;s pass, should also have a list of nearby restaurants, of which there are many!

Thanks for all your suggestions. I would love to try a good mexican but hear mix reviews about Frontiera. It%26#39;s so difficult to choose a place when there is such conflicting opinions.
