My wife and I will be in Chicago for 3 nights in June (11-14) staying at the Sofitel. She will be 6.5 months pregnant. We are going to one or two Cubs games (her idea and don%26#39;t worry - we%26#39;re avoiding the bleachers) but in general are just looking for a low key relaxing weekend. Probably do Cubs - back to hotel to rest- then dinner.
Questions:
1. Can anyone recommend a restaurant near the Sofitel or a short cab ride (10-15 min) which is good, relatively inexpensive ($100-125 max for the two of us) and not too formal? We can do business casual, but that%26#39;s about it. Type of food - we aren%26#39;t real picky, but somewhere with a nice atmosphere unique to Chicago.
2. Any recommendations for a summertime Chicago activity - sight to see, park, etc... for a pregnant woman? I%26#39;m shying away from the typcial museums due to crowds, walking. She will not want to walk a ton.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Architectural Chicago River boat cruise is excellent. See architecture.org for details, pricing, etc.
As for the restaurant, I%26#39;d consider North Pond Cafe or maybe Table 52.

www.millenniumpark.org - just grab a southbound CTA bus on Michigan Ave.
There are 100s of dining options here. You can do dining searches by location, cuisine, budget etc at www.chicagoreader.com
If you like live theater. Chicago is a great place, and it%26#39;s something that%26#39;s hard to find time for after a baby. Check out www.chicagoplays.com and www.hottix.org for tickets.
The Art Institute would not be too much walking, and there are probably more places to sit than other museums. It%26#39;s right on Michigan Avenue. Russian Tea Time is across the street, a great place for something different.
See if there is a free concert at Millennium Park%26#39;s Pritzker Pavillion for a great summer evening.
The Sofitel has a nice restaurant, Cafe des Architects that is worth a visit. And that neighborhood has dozens of restaurants. Try www.metromix.com and look in both the Near North Side and River North areas.
Unless it%26#39;s an unusual pregnancy, six and a half months is not that uncomfortable; you are smart to travel before the hot and humid weather. Enjoy the baby-moon!
