Where to stay with dogs near Michigan Ave?

Does anyone have suggestions about where to stay with two small dogs near the magnificent mile in June? Maybe Gold Coast area? I searched the forum and the web to find pet-friendly hotels but was hoping for some personal recommendations. We%26#39;re thinking about The Grand Plaza on Superior as I think our dogs might do better with an apartment. What I%26#39;m really looking for is some place that has just a small amount of green space so the dogs can do their ';thing';.

If you would be interested in the Loop area you could check The Burnham, Allego and Monaco. I am staying at The Burnham in May, and in my research these hotels seem to be very pet friendly. Reviews by these with pets are very positive.

I%26#39;m pretty sure the Sofitel allows pets and it is in the Gold Coast.

I think Hotel Sax (House of Blues) does as well, but I can%26#39;t think of any grass around there.

I may have to go with a hotel but I worry about my dogs barking when we go out. I%26#39;ve looked at some B%26amp;B%26#39;s around but they%26#39;re farther from where we want to stay.

Monaco, Avenue, James

Longfruit, I%26#39;ve actually stayed at the Grand Plaza as somefriends own and live there. We%26#39;ve been there a couple of times. The units we stayed at lacked some basics, like papertowels and tp. No maid service. There is a grocery store on the ground floor though. If you stay there you may want to take a peek around and see if you need anything.

Kimpton properties are truly dog FREINDLY, and they will go above and beyond to pamper your pooch. The Monaco has a *small* amount of green space accross the street near the river, and Millenium Park (are dogs allowed there?) is about a 4-6 block walk. The Burnham is even closer to MP.

The best thing you could do is ask the concierge at the ';pet friendly'; hotel which you choose. They might have areas set aside for just such a purpose.

There are only a few public places around that area where you can take your pets to do their ';thing';.

Here is the link for the URL Chicago Park District%26#39;s website page which indicates those ';dog friendly'; areas in the city and the requirements which must be met by visitors, as well as locals. You specifically want to review the permit/tags area as well as the information on the necessary health certifications required in order to obtain them and fine information. chicagoparkdistrict.com/resources/dog_friend鈥?/a>

No dogs allowed at Millennium Park, except service dogs:

Thanks for the good info. All I%26#39;m looking for is a little patch of green near the hotel. There is some near the Hotel Monaco when I use Google Street View.

The Affinia hotels are very pet friendly:
