Mothers day Near Northwest Suburbs
Are you looking for brunch or dinner?
This also happens to be a 70th birthday...with a women who hates overcroweded places. Often we dont go out for Mothers Day because of this issue. Either lunch, brunch or dinner would be acceptable.thanks
Thanks for the info...although I do see they have a lot of info on restaurants, I couldnt find anything for Mothers Day specifically. That was disappointing. But I will use sight for general searches.
You might want to try the Wellington in Arlington Heights - I think its safe to say that most restaurants will be crowded on Mother%26#39;s Day, but the Wellington is a large venue and the tables are not right on top of each other. It%26#39;s upscale but not pretentious and a good value for the prices.

Free online reservations at www.opentable.com - you can also see menus.
My favorite brunch is at Port Edwards in Algonquin. But, it is pretty well known and will absolutely be crowded. I don%26#39;t think you will find anything that won%26#39;t be on Mothers Day. Since their brunch is so popular, maybe it wouldn%26#39;t be so crowded for dinner?
It is a seafood restaurant - the decor isn%26#39;t ';pretty';, more ';wharf/rustic';. But is is still elegant and upscale.
OpenTable does have their Mother%26#39;s Day link open and you can search in the NW suburbs - but they are not yet accepting reservations via the web site although I%26#39;m sure you can call the restaurants directly.
To be honest, anywhere elegant and pretty with great food will be crowded on Mother%26#39;s Day, just like on Valentine%26#39;s Day. Great secret restaurants tend to be discovered for event days.
I would suggest checking various review sites for places of interest then check their web sites to see if they specify Mother%26#39;s Day plans. Some of them may wait until after Easter to post the next event info.
