A couple of questions?

I鈥檓 trying to gage walking distance (time it would take) from Homewood Suites (East Grand Ave.) to the Palmer House Hotel (East Monroe St.) MapQuest says it鈥檚 .86 miles between the two hotels, so I鈥檓 assuming it鈥檚 about a good 15 minute walk. Does this sound right? Also, the Weather Channel 10 day forecast predicts rain next Monday and Tuesday鈥hat鈥檚 your local news calling for? Thanks for any advice!

Your walk should take 15-20 minutes as you expected. Local guy, Tom Skilling, shows rainy and blustery for both days w/temps in the low 50%26#39;s. Monday looks worse. He%26#39;s predicting 15-25 mph winds. Typical April here.

If the weather is bad, catch the Red Line subway at State and Grand- it%26#39;s very convenient to the two hotels.

I wouldn%26#39;t bet on a weather forecast more than a day or two ahead. Google Chicago Weather before you leave home. Bring an umbrella.

I have been watching the weather for Monday since it has been on the 10 day forecast. It has gone from mostly sunny to wind/rain to showers. The 10 day forecast is not very accurate. Wait until it gets closer.
