Does anyone know of any nice places to stop for either lunch or a day of site-seeing between Toronto %26amp; Chicago? We%26#39;re driving with 2 little kids.

We hadn%26#39;t planned our route yet. Were thinking we would detour slightly if there was a nice place to see in between the two.
Makes it easier and harder... we%26#39;re open... WIDE open... :)
The fastest route is through Sarnia/Port Huron taking about 8 hours. Unfortunately you won%26#39;t be seeing the most fascinating scenery Ontario or Michigan has to offer. You may indeed want to break it up into two days, going thru Detroit and seeing the above suggested sites. You could also go Sarnia, Lansing, Grand Rapids, Chicago. There are some nice stops in Grand Rapids or any of the beach towns like Holland, Saugatuck, South Haven, St Joseph. Then you could head into Chicago the next day.
While pretty close to Chicago, stop at the Indiana Dunes and have the kids run around for a while on the beach.
