Thank You! And a few last questions.

First, thank you for the great information that I have received by reading this forum.

I have purchased 7-day CTA passes for my family and have had them mailed to me. (I decided not to get the reduced fare card for my 11 year old - not worth the worry to save $8)

I decided not to get the Chicago City Pass and I have purchased a family pass ($55) at a local museum to be used at the Field Museum, Science Museum, Adler Planetarium, and possibly Children%26#39;s Museum (ASTC passport).

I have a Chicago Greeter!

Can you please give me some advice on a few things:

1. O%26#39;Hare to Residence Inn on Walton (Easter Sunday afternoon). The CTA trip planner says blue line to Chicago and #66 bus. I was thinking it might be better to take blue line to Washington and take #10, #146 or #147 bus. I thought that maybe it would be more fun to go right into the heart of the city and take the bus up Michigan Ave. We will have rolling luggage but shouldn%26#39;t be a problem for us.

2. The Shedd Aquarium. I know that this is a matter of opinion, but is it worth it with the Oceanarium closed? We have been to Seattle, Monterey, and Birch Aquariums.

3. The Adler Planetarium. I%26#39;ve read mixed reviews. Is it worth it if it is free with our pass?

Thank you again! I feel like I am ready to go. I%26#39;m just hoping the weather is good!!

Thank You! And a few last questions.

1. If you don%26#39;t want to deal with stairs and luggage on a bus, blue line to Clark/Lake. Cab from there to your hotel. The bus shouldn%26#39;t be too crowded on a Sunday + holiday.

2. IMO, it%26#39;s still fun even without the Oceanarium.

3. Try it. If it%26#39;s not your cup of tea, nothing lost.

Thank You! And a few last questions.

One thing to keep in mind is that the Blue Line goes underground well before you get into the ';heart of the city';. I would not recommend that you get off at Chicago on the Blue Line because it is too easy to get turned around there with the odd intersection.

I think your idea of taking the bus from Washington is fine. You could also continue on the Blue Line to Jackson and transfer to a northbound Red Line train and get off at Chicago %26amp; State, but you will be underground until you get out of the station.

You can also walk from Washington Street. It is a little over a mile to the Residence Inn (just head toward the Hancock building), and it is a great walk (much better than a bus ride.) On Easter Sunday the sidewalks will be nearly empty, so you won%26#39;t have a problem with rolling luggage.

Thank you all for your input. We are excited for our visit to Chicago.

I am not comfortable with that last bus bit with suitcases for you, or all that walking with the family and your suitcases. I think you should take a cab once you get off the blue line. If there aren%26#39;t any at Washington (likely not, Easter Sunday will probably be pretty dead downtown) go EAST to Michigan Avenue to get a cab.
