Union Station safe?

Hi,

How safe is the area around the Union Station? Would a single female be safe to go from the Clinton station of the Blue Line to the Union Station during the day?

Also, does anyone know if I can check-in luggage about 8 hours before departure on an Amtrak train? or are there lockers available where I could leave my lagguage for these 8 hours? Would leaving my luggage there be safe?

Yes, it%26#39;s perfectly safe to walk between Clinton %26amp; US. I can%26#39;t answer the luggage question. But I%26#39;m fairly certain that there are no lockers at US.

There are definitely no more lockers. You should call Amtrak to see how early you can check it.

ok, I hate it when I%26#39;m wrong,but.....there are privately owned lockers near the Amtrak waiting area for long distance travellers.You would have to call to find out the price and hours it%26#39;s open.(not 24 hours).I think a lot of us know that the lockers in the Grand Hall that were available to anyone anytime are gone now, hence the confusion. Sorry.
